This product was made with kitchen knives in mind but can be used for tools or anything that you want visible and within reach. These boards have a solid rare earth magnet (Neodymium magnet) to firmly hold metal objects, please refer to pictures to get an idea of the holding capacity. Double sided tape will be provided to mount to flat surfaces, so far I have mounted to tile, a painted wall and a metal plate with no problems. I am going to assume that if you are reading this you are an adult or at least old enough to read, so with that said if you want to use some other mounting option do what makes you happy. The wood and leather have been treated with non toxic finish, while steps have been taken to ensure the longevity of this product please understand that exposing wood and leather to extreme temperatures can lead to permanent damage. If cleaning is necessary warm water with mild soap or an occasional disinfectant wipe is okay, this is not dishwasher safe. Clean knives only people, come on.
This first production run only has 4 boards, the next run will have more color and sizes. The size options for now will be 8” and 14” long.
Even small projects require lots of time sanding.
