About Us

This BE journey started in the great state of Texas. We (Ben & Emily) wanted to gift our family with something meaningful for Christmas. We visited our local leather shop in Fort Worth and got a side of leather to start creating. 

Nine journals and a lot of podcasts later, we had created useful, beautiful + meaningful gifts for our family. Since then, we moved back to the Bluegrass and have loved showing our support for area of Appalachia by including it on our products.

Since making journals eight years ago in Texas, we have grown in our knowledge and skill of leathercrafting. We love coming up with new designs for products that will serve our customers well.
